The Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) and Canada Health Infoway, are proud to announce the CHEC-CESC Virtual Patient Challenge 2012, which is part of the AFMC-Infoway Physician in Training e-Health Curriculum and e-Learning initiative. Medical students are encouraged to submit virtual patients that incorporate the use of electronic health records (EHRs) and other aspects of e-health to improve patient care. Excellence will be rewarded through three grants (first place is $1,000) and other forms of recognition. The objectives of the Challenge are to:
Submissions are invited from students attending a Canadian faculty of medicine at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate level. (Joint submissions between faculty members and students will also be considered.) For full details, go to CHEC-CESC.
Submissions must be received by January 9, 2013 at 23:00 hours. A notice of intention should be sent to ccontant@afmc.ca at the earliest possible date, and no later than December 5, 2012 at 23:00 hours.
